1965T2424 Food Storage Box, 1611 Pinto Collection - Purchased from Edward H Pinto, 1965. Made in Friesland or Netherlands / Holland This octagonal box was used to store food or possibly salt. It is hollowed out of the solid and decorated with chip-carved geometric and floral designs. An interesting feature is the carved 'X' on either side of the tulip. This marks the only spot where the lid will fit accurately. |
