Artist: Thomas Matthews Rooke
* St. Editha is on the left holding a staff. In front of her are two nuns picking roses. next to them is a nun praying and another handing a rose to an infant Jesus. The Virgin Mary stands on the right with Jesus in her arms.
Thomas Rooke worked as Burne-Jones's studio assistant from 1869 until the latter's death in 1898.
