At the bottom are various other figures in medieval dress, five in a row on the right with a bishop and a faint figure just below them and seven on the left. The scene is encapsulated by a trefoil arch in brown ink. Verso: On the left is a full length figure of Milton standing with a staff in his right hand and a laurel wreath on his head. On the right two designs for tombstones. |
